About Us

Our company

Clean Water Components formed in 2010 as a response to the growing interest in greywater and rainwater reuse, and the challenges people face finding comprehensive information and the necessary components to install systems. Clean Water Components is committed to selling the parts needed to build high quality, well functioning systems. Our team has over a decade of experience with the design and installation of many types of greywater, rainwater, and composting toilet systems. We are committed to supporting people to incorporate sustainable water systems in their homes, businesses, and communities.

A portion of all our proceeds go to donating materials for clean water projects in schools or community centers. Information about our first project coming soon.

We offer discounted rates for non-profits and community based projects. Please contact us if you would like to apply to receive a discounted rate.

He is a founding member of WaterSprout, a design/build company which focuses exclusively on greywater and rainwater systems. Andrew Chahrour

Andrew installs integrated greywater systems as part of larger garden projects with Planting Justice, an Oakland-based non-profit dedicated to food justice. Andrew's expertise is in urban permaculture, designing and installing home-scale systems to maximize productivity of urban spaces by using locally available inputs. With each of the garden projects Andrew works on, he encourages sourcing irrigation water from the household fixtures. The orchard and perennial garden in his own backyard is irrigated exclusively by greywater.

Andrew also built our website and keeps it in healthy working order.
